AMPIRE CX-401-UNI interface

Description of the CX-401

The interface acts as an adapter for steering wheel remote control, converting the encrypted CAN BUS signals for: steering wheel buttons, ignition (Kl.15), lighting (Kl.58d), speed signal (Speedpulse) and reverse gear into analogue signals. This makes it possible to connect standard radios, navigation systems, taximeters and many other devices from various manufacturers to vehicles equipped with CAN BUS.

Depending on the vehicle, signals may be made available:

• Z - ignition

• S - speed signal

• R - reverse gear

• L - light

• PDC - Parking sensor warning signal (in conjunction with CX-LS)

In addition, it is also possible to activate the factory sound system (SS).

In vehicles with CAN in the multifunction steering wheel (MFL), it is possible to control aftermarket devices (Alpine, Blaupunkt, Clarion, Digitaldynamic, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony, Zenec) via the steering wheel - depending on the vehicle and the use of the appropriate ARC- cable....
