OFCu (purity 99.95%) is defined as oxygen-free (non-deoxidised) copper, whilst ECu (purity 99.90%) is copper containing oxygen.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1288\" data-end=\"1441\">For individual wires with a diameter of between 0.07 and 0.15 mm, OFCu copper is used, whilst for those with a diameter of between 0.20 and 0.30 mm, ECu copper is used.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"9q7c73\" data-start=\"1443\" data-end=\"1460\">FLRY cables<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1462\" data-end=\"1824\">FLRY cables are low-voltage cables designed for use in vehicles. They are manufactured with thin-walled PVC insulation. The thinner insulation means that the cables have a rated voltage of 60 V (by comparison, FLY cables have full PVC insulation and a rated voltage of 230 V), whilst their current-carrying capacity depends on the cable\u2019s cross-sectional area.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1826\" data-end=\"2087\">Another feature is the wide operating temperature range. It ranges from <strong data-start=\"1891\" data-end=\"1910\">-40\u00b0C to +105\u00b0C<\/strong>. This means that FLRY cables can also be used in the engine compartment to wire components located some distance from the engine block, as well as near its lower section.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2089\" data-end=\"2326\">Owing to their properties, these cables are often specified at the vehicle design stage for use in low-voltage electrical systems and are one of the main types of cable used in the automotive industry.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2328\" data-end=\"2406\">FLRY cables are manufactured in two versions, which differ in terms of conductor design:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2408\" data-end=\"2698\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">\n<li data-section-id=\"46so5p\" data-start=\"2408\" data-end=\"2513\"><strong data-start=\"2410\" data-end=\"2420\">FLRY-A<\/strong> \u2013 with the wires twisted at regular intervals. This design makes the cable stiffer.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"r6jydt\" data-start=\"2514\" data-end=\"2698\" data-is-last-node=\"\"><strong data-start=\"2516\" data-end=\"2526\">FLRY-B<\/strong> \u2013 with irregularly twisted strands, made from a greater number of thinner wires.
